In February 2016, The Landscape Group merged with Quadron Services Ltd to create the idverde UK family, the largest green service provider in the UK. Together, we offer services in amenity horticulture; focusing on parks and open space management, grounds maintenance, tree surgery, street cleansing and landscape design and build.

We care for parks and gardens, amenity green space, woodlands, riverbanks, beaches and nature reserves. Our fine turf specialists keep bowling greens, golf courses and cricket squares in top playing condition.

We’ve built many award-winning landscapes for our clients. These range from the award-winning and ultra-modern Media City in Salford Quays, to the Athletes Village in London, to formal park restorations funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund.

Introduction - Media CityOur term contracts are equally varied. For Wiltshire Council, we provide grounds maintenance and street cleansing services across the entire country of Wiltshire, including caring for cemeteries, cricket pitches and country parks.

At Stroud, we look after the beautiful Stratford Park, where the focus is on balancing high quality horticulture within a thriving natural habitat.

We were appointed to look after the green estate at the newly constructed Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. This includes the celebrated 2012 Gardens – built to pay tribute to Britain’s long history of exploration and plant collecting and housing 250 different species, divided into four climatic zones, each drawing upon the ecological character of habitats found in the wild.

QEOPIn 2015, Bromley Council outsourced their parks management department to us, and we are now trusted to interact directly with residents, manage community and volunteer relationships, monitor and protect biodiversity and manage events across the Borough. We drafted a Parks, Greenspace and Countryside Strategy which has now been adopted by Members.

Our customers are a blend of public and private sector organisations; local authorities, housing associations, utility firms, facilities managers, private businesses, schools and the construction industry.

We work hard to build long-term relationships based on trust and integrity. We always try to help our clients get the best possible value within their budgets, particularly in challenging economic times.

We have a long history of delivering award-winning standards with over 100 BALI Awards to date, including the prestigious BALI Grand Award for our work at Media City, and Employer of the Year for our sister company Quadron in 2015.

Social value is very important to us and we’re committed to providing employment opportunities and support to the local communities in each region where we operate. We run our own Apprenticeship Scheme called ‘Plant your Apprentice’, and aim to have 5% of our workforce composed of apprentices. We provide funding and resources for community greenspace projects, both on a local basis and through our charitable trust Growing a Greener Britain.

Introduction - Apprenticeship_ParisWe’re ISO 14001 accredited and pay close attention to the environmental impact of our operations; we are active in supporting and in many cases establishing biodiversity and nature management schemes, with the aim of improving the environment for both wildlife and local communities. We author Biodiversity Action Plans and employ ecologists with the required species licences.

The nature of our work means that we have to pay the highest attention to health and safety and to our impact on the environment, and we take this very seriously. We’re accredited to OHSAS 18001 for Health and Safety, to ISO 14001 for environmental management and ISO 9001 for quality management.

We want the very best people to work for us and that means an open recruitment policy, and a commitment to developing our staff so that they have a fulfilling career within idverde UK.

With an annual turnover of £90 million and employing 1600 staff, idverde UK is the largest amenity horticulture specialist in the UK and, with our legacy company, The Landscape Group, tracing its origins back to 1919, we are probably the longest established, as well.
