Scots Pine Section Fell With Crane Lift

Banyards' emergency Tree Surgery services were called into action to clear a 70ft stem that had fallen across a major road in Bournemouth following strong winds. The remaining stem from this massive 'Scots Pine' was section

felled to ground level with the aid of a crane lift. The step-by-step photographs above show the skill and experience needed by all involved when felling trees of this size.

1. Following removal of lower branches.
2. Climber positioning to remove crown.
3. Crown is safely removed.
4. Descending to prepare for next cut.
5. Main section of lead stem is removed.
6. Final section to be cut and lifted out.
